About Sonia Begonia Studios Sonia Begonia Studios is the vision of Sonia Vargas. Sonia started teaching small group preschool piano lessons in 1997 and has been teaching private piano lessons since 1999 for children and adults of all ages. She is an active member of the National Music Teachers Association, the Washington Music Teachers Association and both the Seattle and Edmonds Music Teachers Associations. These associations provide an opportunity to learn new teaching techniques and styles that add creativity to her lessons and help motivate her students to find their own passion and individual voice through piano, music, singing and movement. Sonia has a gentle, patient and nurturing teaching style that helps students feel comfortable while learning something new. Her lessons are fun, creative and provide a solid music foundation which includes listening and ear-training, music theory, rhythm training, technique and artistry, using a variety of styles of repertoire to support musical concepts.
